INDIANAPOLIS
Margaret Brandon Kaisher a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a long time resident of Columbus, Indiana passed away peacefully at 94 on Friday August 2, 2024. Margaret is preceded in death by her beloved spouse John W. Kaisher. John and Margaret formerly resided in Marion, Indiana where she was born and also previously owned Margaret’s Floral Center. While residing in Marion she was a member of the Eastern Star and also sang in the Adeline’s. She was a member of the Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority for charitable services in Marion.
While residing in Columbus she worked as a Secretary at Home Federal Savings and Loan and later Arvin Industries where she eventually retired from. Margaret was a member at East United Methodist Church in Columbus. She is survived by her children, Michael B. Kaisher and his wife Patsy Kaisher, Connie Kaisher Hite and her husband John Hite, and her daughter Rebecca Kaisher Ballentine. Her family included eight Grandchildren, Shane Kaisher, Melissa Potts, Nicole Snow, Stephanie Hill, Michael Ballentine, Kyle Ballentine, Katie Ballentine, and Johnny Ballentine. Margaret was also blessed with 16 Great Grandchildren.
Margaret was a woman with many passions like reading, baking and singing in the choir but none surpassed her love of family. She found immense joy in spending time with each and every one of them whenever possible. She was famous for being in the kitchen and adored for giving a helpful hand. Margaret’s Pecan Tarts were a staple at Thanksgiving as well as sharing her tradition of a Slovenian bread called “Potica ” at Christmas. Her smile was infectious and everyone loved her hugs and kisses. Margaret was a spiritual person who loved her Lord and sang his praises. All of her grandchildren will remember holding her hand and sharing in her warm and loving heart.
She will forever be remembered by those who knew and loved her, may she rest in peace in heaven above.
There will be no formal funeral services, however Flinn &Maguire Funeral Home in Franklin, Indiana will provide arrangements for the burial to take place at Independent Order Of Odd Fellows Cemetery in Marion, Indiana.
