Willie Pearl Casey

Willie Pearl Casey, 89, a resident of Columbus, passed from this life at 5:40 a.m. Sunday, August 11, 2024 at Columbus Regional Hospital.

Willie was born January 24, 1935, in Russell Springs, Kentucky, the daughter of Thomas and Leva Wilson Aaron. She marries Lonnie D. Casey in 1963.

Mrs. Casey was formerly employed at Cosco for three years, Bob-O-Link Restaurant for thirteen years as a cook and retired from Cummins Engine Company after serving thirty years as a machinist in 2002. Willie was a longtime member of the 7th Street Church of God. She loved gardening and cooking, especially pumpkin bread and banana bread. Most of all, she looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by those that know and love her.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Miranda Wells of Greenwood, Tyler Wells of Columbus, Cody (Jenni) Wells of North Vernon; nine great-grandchildren; nieces, Jerry (Dickie) York of Owensboro, Kentucky, Melody Barbieri of Bardstown, Kentucky and Jane Aaron of Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Thomas O. Wells; second husband, Lonnie Casey; son, Randell Wells; brothers, Henry Aaron, Ted Aaron; sisters, Zilpha Whittle, Orpha Shoultz, Beatrice Flanagan and Delphine Burchett.

The funeral will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Monday at Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Jerry Ballard officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service Monday at the funeral home.
