A new medical facility serving Enkei America Inc. employees opened at 6220 Inwood Drive, called the Enkei Care Center. The center opened in the former PromptMed building on the northeast side of Woodside Industrial Park.

1999

Neighbors, a section focusing on the people and places of Bartholomew and surrounding counties, debuted in The Republic.

1974

Lucille Habermeyer was elected president, Dr. Griffith Marr was elected vice president and Thomas Havens was elected treasurer of the Bartholomew County Library Foundation. Board of directors members elected were Ruth Dickey, Joe Dutton and Marge Evans.
