COLUMBUS
Jackie L. Flach, 60, a resident of Columbus, Indiana, passed from this life at 3:59 a.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Jackie was born in Indianapolis, July 27, 1964, the daughter of Paul and Joyce Joann West Wetter. Jackie married Jay E. Flach June 15, 2013; he survives.
Jackie had a long career in food service. She was the bar manager at the Cozy Lounge and she was the manager at both the former Hacienda Restaurant and LaBomba’s Restaurant.
Jackie was a lifetime member of Columbus Moose Lodge No. 398, American Legion Post 24 Auxillary and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles No. 741. She had a passion for being with her grandkids and they enjoyed trips together to the zoo, Hidden Paradise and horseback riding. Jackie will be remembered for always enjoying a cold Diet Pepsi.
Jackie is survived by her husband, Jay; children, Amanda Hawn of Columbus, Ricky Poe of Columbus and Grover Hawn Jr. of Needham, Indiana; stepchildren, Mike Flach of Green Camp, Ohio, Shaun (Cindy) Flach of Michigan, Keith Flach of Green Camp, Ohio, Chris (Laura) Flach of Green Camp, Ohio and Paul Foster of North Vernon; sister, Tina (Brian) Fowler of Greenwood; brother, Brian (Jackie) Wetter of Plainfield; 10 grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; two great-grandsons; nine step great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Cliff Wetter, Pam Wetter and Sandra Depew; and a grandson, Adam Wear.
The funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. Monday, November 25, 2024, at Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street; Steve Yeaton will officiate.
Family and friends may gather for visitation from 3 p.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.
Cremation will take place following the funeral service. In memory of Jackie, memorial contributions may be made to Moose Charities.
