Harrison Township firefighters and Bartholomew County sheriff deputies rescued a 5-year-old Rottweiler named Stitch after he fell through ice on a creek near Old Nashville Road and County Road 580W. A rope was used to pull the dog out of the water to the bank.

Russ Spray, owner of Indiana Technical Service in Seymour, got the Columbus Salvation Army’s Thanksgiving dinner plans back on track when he repaired the charity’s broken oven for free.

Road signs were added on National Road between 25th and 17th streets to explain the middle turn lane, which was expected to reduce traffic problems and confusion.
