A group of eight Columbus Signature Academy New Tech High School freshmen created a brochure based on Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp.’s slogan, “Deeper Learning Works.” The brochure was distributed during a two-day series titled “Beyond the Grades.”
1999
LED Mechanical held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the expansion of its piping and sheet metal fabrication shop at 512 Center St. The company opened in 1988 and specialized in piping, plumbing and sheet metal.

Columbus received nearly five inches of snow, which caused delays for motorists and travel. The snow was reportedly perfect for making snowmen, as several were spotted around the city.
