COLUMBUS
Ricky Lynn Cox, 53, a lifelong resident of Columbus, Indiana, passed from this life December 5, 2024, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Ricky was born in Columbus, January 3, 1971, the son of the late Robert H. Cox and Patsy C. Tudor Cox of Columbus.
Earlier in life, Ricky enjoyed listening to his scanner so he would know what was happening in the city. He also had a passion for playing chess and he will be remembered for riding his bike.
Ricky will be remembered by his mother, Patsy Cox of Columbus; brothers, Robert Cox of Columbus and Roy Cox of Columbus; nieces and nephews, Adrienne Cox (Jesse) of Columbus, Kaleigh Cox (Zack) of Columbus and Reese Cox of Columbus; two great-nieces; one great-nephew; and his aunt, JoAnn Simpson of Columbus.
Ricky was preceded in death by his father, Robert H. Cox and his sister-in-law, Christie Lynn Cox.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, December 9, 2024, at Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street; Bishop David C. Bosley will officiate.
Family and friends may gather for visitation from 12 p.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.
Ricky will be laid to rest at the Garland Brook Cemetery.
