NASHVILLE
Lois F. Bowling, passed away on December 16, 2024, at Columbus Regional Hospital surrounded by her entire family-sharing laughter and tears, unafraid, ready to spend eternity in heaven with loved ones. She was 83 years old. Born on March 24, 1941, in the quaint town of Calvin, Kentucky, Lois embodied the warmth and nurturing spirit that would define her life’s journey.
Lois, fondly known by those who cherished her, dedicated her life to the role of a homemaker, a vocation she embraced with every fiber of her being. She was a loving mother who lived life her way, with family at the heart of everything she did. Her home was a haven for laughter and love. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, surrounded by nature and watching the birds, deer and turkeys.
She is survived by her devoted children, Daniel (Diane) Bowling of Edinburgh and David (Angie) Bowling of Columbus. Lois was the adored grandmother to Sarah (Andrew) Hudson, Pheobie (Micheal) Brock, Rachel (Kellen) Otto, and Grace (Blake) James. Her legacy further blossoms through her great-grandchildren, Annie Hudson, Dominic Brock, Noah Hudson, Lincoln Otto, Anderson Otto, and Jensen Otto, who will carry forward her spirit of kindness and familial devotion.
Lois was the beloved sister to Gerald (Judy) Thompson of Salem. Her life was also enriched by the presence of several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Nevada Wright.
In keeping with Lois’ request, cremation will take place and no service is planned at this time.
Inurnment will take place at Nineveh Christian Church Cemetery.
