Asbury United Methodist Church — Asbury offers a Traditional Service at 8:45 a.m. and a contemporary service at 11 a.m. Nursery is available for both services. Kids’ church is offered only at the 11 a.m. service. Sunday school classes meet at 10 a.m.
During the 11 a.m. service, children are welcomed to come up front in their own prepared area, “The Prayground.” This is a special time for them to participate in worship and to participate in quiet activities during the service. Kids’ church for 3 to 12-year-olds is offered at the 11 a.m. service.

Central Heights Church of God — The Sunday service begins with praise at 10:30 a.m. and a message lead by Jason Johnson. Nursery and child church services are available.
Sunday School for all ages begins at 9:30 a.m.

Community Church of Columbus — Tuesday Connection, a series of support and enrichment groups, meets at 6:30 p.m. each Tuesday. Dinner is also provided at 5:30 p.m. and kids programming is also provided.
Adult groups include divorce care, grief share, family grace (adults that have a loved one with a mental illness struggle), insight (adults that have someone in their life with an addiction), embrace life (single mothers of young children), celebrate recovery (adults with a harmful habit, addiction or hurt), smart step family (adults in blended families), valor de mujer (support for women who speak Spanish), Chinese small group (in Mandarin Chinese), and single adult community (adults ages 35+). Thrive teens (guys and girls groups) will also be available.
Holistic health, embrace grace and making marriage work groups start in January 2025.

Faith Lutheran Church — Worship each Sunday begins at 9 a.m. in person and live-streamed on the church’s Facebook page. Most Sundays, Sunday School and an Adult Bible Study are offered following the worship service. Faith welcomes Pastor Josiah Fitch as the new senior pastor.
Preschool classes continue throughout the year and the congregation offers an after school program each school day from 3 to 5:30 p.m. with busing from Southside Elementary.

First Baptist Church — First Baptist Church of Columbus welcomes you to join in worship on Sundays at 9:30 a.m. The church has both children’s programming and a nursery available during morning worship, as well as several Sunday School offerings and different Bible study groups that meet throughout the week.
The Bible Study series will begin the week of Jan. 9 for both the men and women is “Free at Last.” The Women’s Bible Study is on Thursdays at 9 a.m. in the FBC Chapel and the Men’s Bible Study is on Fridays at 7 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall.

First United Methodist Church — On Sunday, December 29, at 10 a.m., Rev. Howard Boles will deliver the message, “Wisdom for Beginning: Confident and Courageous Steps,” at the church, 618 Eighth St., Columbus. The scripture will be Ecclesiastes 3:1-12 & Revelation 21:1-6a. The church encourages those who are attending in person to arrive ten minutes (9:50 a.m.) before the service. Childcare will be available from 9:45 a.m. until the end of the 10 a.m. service. First UMC is considering starting a Green Team. A Green Team consists of a few members working together to educate our congregation and community on environmental care. With the support of a regional organization, Faith in Place, Green Teams address environmental issues at the local level. Those interested in learning more about Green Teams should contact Rev. On Sunday, Dec. 29, the church invites everyone to attend worship wearing an ugly sweater. Wear the ugliest, goofiest, most unusual sweater and gather for worship at 10 a.m.

Mt. Pleasant Christian Church — Services begin at 10:30 a.m. every Sunday.
The church invites everyone to see its lighted Nativity scene in the churchyard nightly and join for Christmas messages and carols throughout December.

Petersville United Methodist Church — Petersville United Methodist Church will meet Sunday at 9 a.m. for worship. Pastor Rebecca Milne will bring her message, “Jerusalem: ‘A Place of Waiting’ (Peace).” The Advent Wreath candle of Peace will be lit.
The children’s message will be led by Teresa Covert.
Following the morning’s worship service, all are welcome to stay for a time to share together in the Fellowship Hall. The service will be available to view on Facebook throughout the week.

Sandy Hook United Methodist Church — Sandy Hook United Methodist church gathers weekly for in person worship and online. This Sunday, Dec. 29, the First Sunday of Christmastide, service begins at 11 a.m. The message will be about “Finding Jesus in the Ordinary” as part of the sermon series “Preparing the Way.”
Sunday School is offered for all ages NOW from 9:45 am – 10:45 a.m.
The nursery is available for ages 0-3 from 9:30 a.m. – end of service.
Galilean Church our Hispanic Service is on Sundays at 2 p.m.
The Youth Group meets on Sundays at 5 p.m. for a quick meal and then the meeting.
Christmas Eve Service is Tuesday, Dec. 24 at 6:00 p.m.

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church — St. Paul’s is an inclusive faith community of the Episcopal Diocese of Indianapolis. The church meets in person or by livestream at the church’s website, stpaulscolumbus.org.

Radio worship service is every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. and The Lutheran Hour is every Sunday at 7 p.m., both on WYGS 91.1 FM.
Wednesday Adult Bible classes will resume on Jan. 8. Join the Financial Peace University class, and learn how to beat debt and make a plan for the future!
