TERRE HAUTE — Olivia Embry finished fifth in the women’s 400 meters, Madison Merritt placed fifth in the women’s 200 and Seth Trimble took fifth in the men’s high jump Saturday to lead the IU Columbus track and field teams at Rose Hulman’s Early Bird Outdoor Invitational.
Merritt also finished seventh in the women’s 100. Columbus North graduate Liam Milne, Saulo Luna and Columbus East grads Alejandro Saldivar and Jose Martinez took seventh in the men’s 4×100 relay, and Jackson Niebert was eighth in the men’s 800.
The Crimson Pride will be back in action March 29 at the Hanover Invitational.
