ST. LEON — Columbus North rallied from a 9-5 deficit after four innings Tuesday to pull out an 11-9, eight-inning baseball win at East Central.
The Bull Dogs (2-1) scored three times in the fifth and once in the seventh to tie the game, then scored twice in the eighth.
Jesse Clark went 4 for 4 with three RBIs, and freshman Jack Whaley went 3 for 5 with his third home run in three games and two RBIs. Macario Mendez went 2 for 5, and Lane Schrader had two RBIs.
Brock Kintner came on in relief of Franko Ortega and Schrader and pitched 4.2 innings of shutout relief to earn the victory.
