FRANKFORT, Ky. — IU Columbus softball came through with a pair of wins Wednesday, sweeping Midway (Kentucky) 10-8 and 4-2 in a River States Conference doubleheader.
Emma Chism went 3 for 4 with a home run, Mallory Shelton went 2 for 4 with a triple, a home run and six RBIs and Izzy Johnson went 2 for 4 in the opener. Justice Cash threw a complete-game 12-hitter.
In the second game, Gracie Holok went 2 for 3 with a home run and two RBIs, and Chism went 2 for 4 with a double. Erica Henry threw a five-hitter and allowed only one earned run.
The Crimson Pride (10-20, 7-11) will host doubleheaders Friday against Brescia and Saturday against Oakland City.
