VEVAY
Mr. Edward Lee “Edd” Cook, age 78, entered this life on February 15, 1947 in Madison. He was the loving son of the late Oscar D. and Lola Beatrice (Edwards) Cook. He was a 1965 graduate of the Vevay High School. He received his degree in accounting from Indiana Business College in Columbus. Edd was a food and beverage manager for various hotels and restaurants in Columbus for 20 years. He was also a former accountant for Irwin Union Bank and Trust Company and for Arvin Industries in Columbus. Edd was later employed as a superintendent for the Switzerland County Highway Department for seven years. He was also a dispatcher for the Switzerland County Sheriffs Department for three years. Edd was a member of the Mt. Sterling Baptist Church and Sons of the Vevay American Legion Post #185 and was a former member of the Switzerland County Lyons Club. Edd enjoyed watching NASCAR. Edd died Saturday, April 19, 2025, at the Swiss Villa Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Vevay.
Survivors: sister, Sherry Cook Scott and husband, Jack “Jay”, and several cousins.
Preceded in death by: parents; brother, William D. “Billy” Cook, and aunts and uncles.
Visitation: 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., Sunday, April 27, 2025, Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry St., Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Funeral: 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 28, 2025, at funeral home.
Interment: Vevay Cemetery.
