GREENSBURG — Hauser built a big lead Thursday and had to hold on for an 11-8 softball win at South Decatur.
Lucie Asher went 3 for 4 with a double and two RBIs, Haylin Campbell went 2 for 4 with a double and three RBIs, Izzy Brunner went 2 for 4 with a double and two RBIs, Haven Hartwell went 2 for 4 with two RBIs, Lexie Hamilton went 2 for 5 with a double and two RBIs and Cheyenne Moody went 2 for 5 for the Jets (8-5, 7-0). Hartwell threw a nine-hitter and allowed only three earned runs.
Samantha Cole went 2 for 3, Dalilah Martin went 2 for 4 with a double and a triple, Daisy Martin went 2 for 4 with a double, Raegan Benge went 2 for 4 and Lydia Witkemper and Carly Shook each had two RBIs for the Cougars (6-8, 3-4).
