RISING SUN — Hauser advanced to the final of the Class A Rising Sun Sectional with a 14-1, five-inning semifinal win Tuesday against Crothersville.
The Jets (14-6) scored one run in the first before erupting with 10 in the second, then added three in the third.
Haven Hartwell threw a two-hitter and did not allow an earned run. She struck out 11 and did not walk a batter.
Izzy Brunner went 3 for 3 with a triple and four RBIs. Allie Zapfe went 2 for 2 with two doubles and two RBIs, Haylin Campbell went 2 for 3 with a double, Lexie Hamilton went 2 for 4 with two doubles and three RBIs and Cheyenne Moody had two RBIs.
Hauser will face Milan, a 3-1 upset winner against the host Shiners, in the sectional final at 6 p.m. Thursday.
