NORTH VERNON — Jennings County opened its own Class 3A baseball sectional Wednesday with a 2-1 win against Lawrenceburg.
Ethan Speer went 3 for 3, and Zane Weinhorst went 2 for 3 for the Panthers (11-14). Cooper Lane threw a six-hitter.
Jennings will play Batesville in the semifinals at 2 p.m. Saturday. Greensburg and South Dearborn will play in the second semifinal, and the sectional final is at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
