OSGOOD — Class A No. 5 Hauser opened sectional baseball play Wednesday afternoon with a 6-0 win against host Jac-Cen-Del.
Simeon Wasil threw a three-hit shutout with 12 strikeouts and went 2 for 3 with a home run at the plate to lead the Jets (17-3).
Kam Blair went 3 for 4 with two doubles and two RBIs. Holden Pittman also had two RBIs.
Hauser will play Rising Sun in the semifinals at 2 p.m. Saturday. The sectional final is at 6 p.m. Monday.
