Columbus couple Timothy and Deanna Railing announced that the winner of an essay contest would receive their log home, valued at about $675,000, on West Old Nashville Road. Entries would be accepted through Nov. 15 and a winner would be selected by a panel judge.

James L. Keyes of Columbus was elected president of the National Association of Wabash Men, an alumni association of Wabash College. Keyes graduated from Wabash in 1950.
