Sharon Faye Mick passed away peacefully on June 28, 2025, at the age of 85 in Fort Myers, FL.
A private celebration of her life will be held by the family.
Born on February 23, 1940 to Edward and Geneva Carter in Jennings County, IN. She was married to Thomas William Mick for over 66 years.
A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, her greatest joy was her husband, children &especially her grandchildren who lovingly called her Grams. She loved music, dancing and singing. She was creative with her painting, making Halloween costumes for her husband and herself in their younger years, and storytelling. She was adventurous from doing donuts in snow covered parking lots when her children were young to rollerblading later in life, and traveling with the love of her life. Sharon was a long time member of St. Bartholomew Church in Columbus, IN. Now dancing once again with her husband and life partner, her family can only imagine the fun and shared laughter they are having together.
Sharon is survived by her sister, Juanita (Danny) Green of Elizabethtown, IN; children Matthew (Anita Arnold) Mick of Fort Myers FL, Melinda Mick of Wake Forest NC, Melissa (Michael) Zahn of San Antonio TX, Michele (Ron) Varela of Carson City NV and Mitchel Mick of Chicago IL; grandchildren Sarah and Patrick Mick, Mick and Adrianna Varela, Rachel and Jacob Zahn, Philip and Ryan Mick.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas; parents, Edward and Geneva; sisters Becky Mcdevitt, Yvonne King and Diane Garrity; brothers John Carter, Doug Carter, Kenny Carter, Eddie Carter, Danny Carter and Billy Bauman.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or your local Hospice.
