USDA Summer Food Service Program — noon to 1 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Bartholomew County School Corp. will once again be partnering with the library to provide summer lunch services.

Teen Game Day — 1 to 4 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Games include Disney Sorcerer’s Arena: Epic Alliance, numerous unicorn-themed games and games on the arcade machine. Register on the library website.

BCPL Express — 1:30 to 3 p.m., NexusPark, 2380 25th St., Columbus. BCPL Express is a mobile free book program from the Bartholomew County Public Library.

Mad Science with Professor Steve Community Fun Day — 1:30 to 3 p.m., Circle K Fieldhouse, 2380 25th St., Columbus. Professor Steve will present a “funducational” show, followed by games and experiments for everyone. Free.

Tween Game Time — 3:30 to 5 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Join library staff for some laid-back fun as you play your way through the library’s collection of board, card and dice games. Game selection may vary.

Weld Together: Welding Basics — 5 to 6:30 p.m., Columbus Propeller, 4760 Ray Boll Blvd., Columbus. This 90-minute hands-on workshop is designed to spark interest in welding among women and girls, creating a welcoming space to explore the basics of the trade. Cost is $50. Kenny Phelps Quartet — 6 to 7:30 p.m., Fourth Street, Columbus. The Indianapolis-based quartet will perform as part of the JazzIN Columbus concert series. Free.

Open Mic Poetry & Prose — 6 to 7:30 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Hear and be heard at this open mic night. Enjoy original poetry and readings from local artists, or present your own writing in a relaxed and nonjudgmental space.
