Shelby County deputies at scene of accident involving serious injuries on Old State Road 252

9:30 a.m. Friday update

SHELBY COUNTY — Shelby County sheriff deputies said two drivers were involved in a rear-end crash at 1 p.m. Thursday on Old State Road 252 near County Road 200W.

Jeff Bell, 52, of Connersville was driving a 2025 Kenworth semi, slowing to make a turn on to 200W when he was struck in the rear by a 2022 Ford box truck driven by David Stuth, 54, of Bloomington.

Bell was uninjured. A passenger in the box truck, David Null, 20, Bloomington was flown to Indianapolis by helicopter with unknown injuries. Stuth was transported to Indianapolis by ambulance with unknown injuries.

SHELBY COUNTY — The Shelby County Sheriff’s Department is investigating an accident involving serious injuries in the southern part of the county.

Around 1 p.m., deputies were sent to Old State Road 252 near County Road 200W in Shelby County involving a collision between a box truck and a semi.

Lifeline helicopter has been requested at the scene.
