WOODRIDGE, IL
Lynda Joan Morgan, nee Cox, passed away on May 15, 2025 in Woodridge, Illinois, surrounded by her children. Lyn immigrated from England in 1979 and was a longtime resident of Columbus. She made many special friends over the years through Columbus Service League, Columbus Sunrise Rotary Club, and through her work with Heritage Fund, IUPUC, CASA, and the Centra Foundation. Family was always the most important part of her life, with half her heart always in her native England. Her sister, Janet, along with extended family and friends, remained close to her heart despite the distance between them. She adored her grandchildren and children along with their extended families. She did anything she could to help family, friends, or even a stranger.
She is survived by her sons, Gareth Morgan (Michelle) and Huw Morgan, daughter Hanna Collins (Cam), and her beloved grandchildren Nora, Owen, and Cole. She is preceded in death by her parents, Audrey Cox (nee Blackmore) and Arthur Richard Cox.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 12th, at Upland Columbus Pump House from 1-5 p.m. The event will be an Open House format. Please RSVP to Hanna.
