The Bartholomew County commissioners Monday awarded a bid for the purchase of a 2026 Chevrolet Silverado for the county assessor’s office.
Commissioners opened bids last week, receiving a bid from Country Chevrolet of North Vernon for $35,600 and from P4 Automotive Chevrolet of Columbus for $35,500, ultimately awarding the bid to P4 Automotive Chevrolet of Columbus. The purchase will be funded through the county assessor’s reassessment fund.
Because P4 Automotive Chevrolet of Columbus currently has the vehicle in the dealership lot, the assessor’s office will be able to purchase it within the month, according to county officials.
