The Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce has announced the distinguished women who will inspire and motivate the audience at the 2025 Women in Leadership Lunch on Friday, Aug. 22 at The Commons in downtown Columbus.
“Year after year, this event allows us to applaud the invaluable contributions that women bring to both our professional arenas and our wider community, said Cindy Frey, chamber president.
Each year the Chamber honors outstanding female leaders. This year, chamber members nominated and selected four women:
- Whittney Gaines – As a special education teacher and owner of Gaines Creative Expressions, she empowers others through educational programs and major cultural events—uniting the community with empathy, grace, and remarkable organizational skill.
- Dr. Laura Hack – Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation’s Director of Elementary Education. Throughout her more than 30-year career, she’s made a difference for tens of thousands of young learners.
- Cathy King – United Way’s Community Impact Director. She and her team have an incredible track record of addressing homelessness and poverty. Her work has moved hundreds of people toward stability and hope.
- Dr. Mandy Wyant – Chiropractor and Owner of Family Wellness and Chiropractic. In 2011, she blazed a trail as the only female chiropractor in the market. The business has grown exponentially, boasting a reputation for excellence, generosity, and service.
The event is offered by lead sponsors Old National Bank and Agresta, Storms and O’Leary, with additional support from Lohmeyer Plumbing and Centra Credit Union.
Attendees will hear from these professionals as well as honorary co-hosts Julie Abedian and Kathy Oren as each shares reflections on leadership.
Tickets are $65. Tables of eight are available for $500. Reservations are required and can be made on the Chamber website: www.columbusareachamber.com.
