Mike Wolanin | The Republic A model of Exhibit Columbus installation Ellipses by Miller Prize recipient, art and architecture practice AD-WO is on display for the 2025 Exhibit Columbus design presentations program at Columbus City Hall in Columbus, Ind., Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025.
Exhibit Columbus’s fifth installation series, Yes And, and its opening weekend are coming up in August.
Community members can get involved now though, as Exhibit Columbus is looking for volunteers in helping build this cycle’s installations.
Volunteers are needed on the “Inside Out” installation at the library plaza, “The Steel Horsie” installation at the Bartholomew County Historical Society, the “Ellipsis” installation at the former Irwin Block building, the “PUBLIC/SCHOOL/GROUNDS” installation at Central Middle School and the “A View of the World from Indiana” installation at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
Volunteer work includes but is not limited to heavy lifting, painting, folding, unloading, clean-up work and assembly. To sign up for volunteering, click here or contact Operations and Communications Manager Abigail Flout at abigail@landmarkcolumbus.org.
Those who cannot volunteer but still want to support are welcome to contact Madonna Wilson about sponsorship opportunities at madonna@landmarkcolumbus.org. Contributions go towards immediate action to help build the exhibition and create the many public and free events in the following months, according to Exhibit Columbus.
Yes And’s opening weekend will take place on Friday, Aug. 15 and Saturday, Aug. 16. Five free events will be held throughout the weekend, starting off with a Sunset Preview Party on Friday from 8 to 11 p.m. on 4th Street.
