
Erica Englehart, 11, entered her first dog show at the Bartholomew County 4-H Fair on July 21, 1975. Mason, her Golden Retriever, received a white ribbon in division one of the competition.

Moravec Realty LLC and developer Tony Moravec purchased the Pump House from the city of Columbus for $285,000, with plans to turn it into an Upland Brewing Co. pub. The structure had previously been used as a senior center from 1976 to 2011.

The Columbus and Seymour student Solar Stealth team finished third in the three-day Winston Solar Challenge at Texas Motor Speedway. The team’s handmade solar-powered car had to make 254 laps around the 1.5 mile track.

Guitarists Whitehead and Lowrie presented a concert at The Commons, which included duets and solos of both original compositions and familiar songs.
