A new Indiana State Police trooper has graduated from the 87th Indiana State Police Recruit Academy at the Indiana State Capitol Rotunda and is now in field training.
Trooper Cameron Curry, who lives in Bartholomew County, is among 20 new troopers who have now reported to their respective districts.
Curry has been assigned to the Indiana State Police-Versailles Post. Curry, 29, is a 2015 graduate of Columbus East High School. After high school, he obtained a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice before being hired by the Michigan State Police, where he served over three years. He then moved back to Bartholomew County after being hired by the Columbus Police Department. He served with the Columbus Police Department for a year and a half before being hired by the Indiana State Police.
Curry and his wife reside in Bartholomew County with their three dogs.
