Columbus North High School and DePauw University graduate Evan Trotta won the Columbus Challenge Triathlon, which included a 1,500-meter swim, 25-mile bike and 10K run.

Columbus’ Vanessa Myers won the 2000 World Piano Competition at Cincinnati’s Aronoff Center. Myers competed against pianists from 13 other countries, and earned perfect scores on her performance of Bach and Khachaturian.
1975
