Brown County prepares to consider vote center plan

BROWN COUNTY — Brown County residents are invited to learn about Vote Centers proposed for the 2026 Elections.

A meeting is planned at 6 p.m. Aug. 28 in the Salmon Room, 201 Locust Lane, Nashville. The Brown County Election Board will give a presentation on the draft Vote Center Plan. The meeting will be livestreamed on the Brown County Government YouTube channel for those unable to attend in person. Written comments on Vote Centers are invited for the Aug. 28th meeting and for at least 30 days after the meeting. Written comments must be received by the deadline of Sept. 29.

· Tuesday, Sept. 30th at 1 p.m.: Public meeting to review comments received and accept final public comment on the Brown County Vote Center Draft Plan

· Wednesday, Oct. 1, 9 a.m.: Brown County Election Board meeting to review the Vote Center draft plan, make adjustments, if any, and vote on the final Vote Center plan
