ISP issues multiple citations, warnings and arrests in targeted patrols of I-65 and I-74

COLUMBUS, Ind. — Indiana State Police issued numerous citations, warnings and made arrests after two targeted enforcement patrols on area interstates.

On Friday, Indiana State Police-Versailles Post conducted the patrols on I-65 in Jackson and Bartholomew counties and also on I-74 in southeastern Indiana.

On I-65, troopers issued 37 citations, 34 warnings, and 11 police services, along with five criminal arrests, including one that was drug-related.

Along I-74, troopers issued 38 citations and 100 warnings. Troopers additionally cited for five criminal offenses including one drug-related arrest.
Troopers will continue to conduct targeted enforcement wolfpack patrols throughout the Versailles District to prevent crashes and to go after those conducting criminal activity on our roadways, said Sgt. Stephen Wheeles, Indiana State Police spokesman.
