Brown County opened its volleyball season Monday with a 25-14, 25-20, 25-14 win at Columbus Christian.
Ella Bartles pounded eight kills, Ella East had three blocks, Zoe Jackson notched seven digs and Aubree Denton served seven aces to lead the Eagles.
Also for Brown County, Makayla Shrader recorded five kills and two aces, and Denton added four kills. Jackson served six aces.
Mara Nickerson recorded two kills and two aces, Abby Dora had two assists and two aces to lead the Crusaders (1-1). Addison Smith tallied two assists, Bella Frederickson had one block and Katie Bond notched 11 digs.
Also for Columbus Christian, Abby Dora posted one kill and 10 digs. Bond pounded one kill, and Emma Rice added nine digs.
