The following closings are announced for the Labor Day holiday.
- The Bartholomew County Courthouse and county offices will be closed Monday.
- Columbus City Hall and city offices will be closed Monday.
- Columbus will not do trash collections or other collections on Monday. All collections will be delayed one day with Friday’s collections on Saturday.
- The Columbus City Utilities office will be closed on Monday. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday at 7 a.m. Customers with a problem with water or sewer service, should call the business office at 812-372-8861 and follow the prompts.
- All Bartholomew County Solid Waste Management Facilities (Bartholomew County Landfill, Columbus/Bartholomew County Recycling Center, BCSWMD District Offices, Commercial Cardboard Program) will be closed on Monday. For more details, visit www.bcswmd.com.
- All Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicle (BMV) branches will be closed Saturday through Monday. Branches will resume regularly scheduled business hours on Tuesday. - The Bartholomew County Public Library and its Hope branch will be closed Monday.
- The Republic offices will be closed Monday to allow employees to enjoy the day with their families. The office will reopen at 8 a.m. Tuesday.
