Robert Lee Polston, of Bayview, Illinois, ran into the arms of Jesus, Monday, August 18, 2025.
He was born to Bobby E. Polston and Lois (Seaman) Polston on June 13, 1957, in Peoria, Illinois.
Bob was a child of God and loved to share his testimony with all he met. He did his best to make those around him feel important and loved. Whether it was through a kind act, word or laughter. He was always the first to ask how you were or if there was anything he could do to help. He loved being outdoors. He especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. Bob was a talented singer and loved to sing at any given moment. He enjoyed cooking and gardening. He was a dependable and hard worker; often working more than one job a time. He was an animal lover, having all kinds of pets throughout the years. He will be greatly missed by his two dogs, Sarge and Cricket.
Next to God, he loved his family most. He leaves behind, daughter Tiffany (Ron) Cowles of Grayville, Illinois, daughter, Amber Elliott of Grayville, Illinois and son, Joe (Amanda) Polston on Indianapolis, Indiana. Four grandchildren, Alexis McKenzie, Keeley Polston and Matthew and Marlee Cowles. Bob also leaves his brother, Larry “Red” (Brenda) Polston of Lowpoint, Illinois and sister Barbara (Willie) Murrell of Parkersburg, Illinois. He was loved by his Aunt Shirley (Hunter) Trieble of Kingston, Tennesse and nephew, Jesse (Kasia) Polston of Germantown Hills. He leaves behind his longtime companion, Sharon Wisner. Bob will also be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, brother Woody Polston and nephew Jeffrey Murrell.
Memorials may be made to the Averyville Baptist Church, where Bob was a faithful servant.
