Rebels edge Panthers

HANOVER — Southwestern (Hanover) pulled out a three-set win at No. 2 doubles Tuesday to claim a 3-2 boys tennis victory against Jennings County.

Parker Bales beat Braxton Lewis 6-0, 6-3 at No. 1 singles for the Panthers (1-6). Ty Zohrlaut and Luke Napier topped Brady Cook and Colton Deputy 6-1, 4-6, 6-1 at No. 1 doubles.

Jennings’ Lucius Stidham fell to Talon Wynn at No. 2 singles, and Henry Asbury lost to Quinton Lewis at No. 3 singles, both by 6-0, 6-0 scores. Asher Morin and Charlie Treadway fell to Max Joseph and Luke Morrow 7-5, 4-6, 6-3 at No. 2 doubles.
