Class A No. 7 Hauser volleyball soared to a 25-14, 25-15, 25-14 victory over Madison Shawe and remained undefeated. The Jets’ service game gave them a 19-6 lead in the first set.

The 40th annual Labor Day Antiques and Vintage Collectibles Show was held in Vernon’s Courthouse Square, which included 150 vendors offering everything from jewelry and glassware to furniture and obscure antiques.
1975
Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. bus drivers Ishmal Johnson-Bey and Nancy Mahoney won the men’s and women’s competition in a driving rodeo held in the Columbus East High School parking lot. The rodeo was part of yearly training for bus drivers.
