Panthers snap long losing streak

PEKIN — Jennings County picked up its first football win in two years Friday, going on the road and knocking off Eastern (Pekin) 27-2.

Cam Patterson carried 18 times for 175 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Panthers (1-2). Brady Franks completed 5 of 9 passes for 68 yards and two scores and carried 15 times for 89 yards and ran for a 2-point conversion.

Brandan McCory and Sam Hernandez caught touchdown passes.Gomie Gomez led the defense with 10 tackles.

Jennings opens Hoosier Hills Conference play next week at home against Columbus East.
