MUNCIE — Trinity Lutheran went 2-1 Saturday in the Dave Shondell Tournament at Muncie Burris.
The Cougars beat Burris 25-14, 22-25, 15-10 and Jay County 25-15, 25-19 before falling to Southwood 25-9, 25-19 in the championship game.
Rachel Bonde led Trinity (8-7) with 18 kills and six blocks. Bella Wehmiller recorded 61 assists, Maddie Adams notched 31 digs and Emmy Price served three aces.
Also for the Cougars, Bailey Bonde tallied 16 kills and four blocks, and Wehmiller had six kills, five blocks and 15 digs. Emmy Price added 15 digs and one ace.
