Students in Paula Bandos’ third-grade class at Southside Elementary School raised monarch butterflies in their classroom as part of a science-turned-technology life lesson. The students learned how much can change for humans and animals alike in a matter of weeks.
2000
Columbus Diagnostic on Creekview Drive was awarded a three-year term of accreditation in Nuclear Medicine by the American College of Radiology. The facility was only the second in the country to receive the award and the first in Indiana.
1975
Members of The Republic’s advertising staff won seven awards from the annual Autumn Advertising Conference of the Hoosier State Press Association. The awards included two first place, two second and three thirds.
