NAMI South Central Indiana, the local organization of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, will be offering its next NAMI Family & Friends seminar on Saturday, Oct. 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at United Way of Bartholomew County, 1531 13th St, in their board room.
NAMI Family & Friends is a free seminar that informs and supports people who have loved ones with a mental health condition, according to a press release. Participants learn about diagnoses, treatment, recovery, communication strategies, crisis preparation and NAMI resources. Seminar leaders also have personal experience with mental health conditions in their families.
