Columbus
Columbus is a great city. On Sept. 12th, downtown Columbus became a festival of people. It was Fiesta Latina night, actually morning, afternoon, and evening.
People from all walks of life gathered at Fourth and Washington downtown from approximately 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Friday.
There was food, food, and more delicious food served. There was dancing and more dancing. No, not all Hispanics, but people from all nationalities who live in Columbus. They were white, black, brown, and enjoying the festivities.
We take our community for granted, but when you can have thousands of people having fun, enjoying each other‘s company with no issues—well, too much food was an issue for myself and my coworker, but other than that, it was great!
Su Casa and all the organizations supporting the event should be recognized. Let’s hope we can do more of this in the future. Columbus is a community of people and not just numbers.
