Panthers rally past Madison for second win

NORTH VERNON — Jennings County trailed Madison 13-0 at halftime Friday before rallying for a 41-20 victory.

Panther quarterback Brady Franks ran for three third-quarter touchdowns to give the Panthers a 20-13 lead. The Cubs came back to tie the game a 20-20, but then Jennings returned the ensuing kickoff for a score, then got two touchdown passes from Franks to Nathan Harrison to cap off its second win of the season.

Franks carried 19 times for 153 yards and three scores and completed 5 of 7 passes for 21 yards and two touchdowns. Brandan McCory added six carries for 129 yards for the Panthers (2-3).

Gomie Gomez led the defense with four solo and nine assisted tackles, with one sack and three tackles for losses.
