GREENSBURG
Clarence R. Young, 86, of Greensburg, passed from this life at 5:40 a.m. Tuesday, September 23. 2025 at the Willows of Greensburg.
Clarence was born November 27, 1938, in Kittanning, Pennsylvania, the son of James and Dorothy Harkleroad Young. He would eventually marry Mildred Garrett.
Mr. Young worked as a supervisor for Cummins Engine Company for many years before retiring. In his earlier days, Clarence joined the United States Army until he was honorably discharged in 1960. He was an avid fisherman and a longtime member of The Ridge in Columbus, Indiana. He will be deeply missed by those that knew and loved him.
Survivors include his children, James Young of Hartsville, Bryan (Jennifer) Young of Greensburg, Marsha (Greg) Myers of Bonita Springs, Florida; grandchildren, Emily (Daniel) Welch, MacKenzie (Charles) Walton, Eric (Lauren) Young, Brooklyn (Austin) Fleener, Tabitha Smith, Ryan (Ashley) Smith; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; ten brothers and sisters.
The funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday with Pastor Jim Parsley officiating. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
Entombment will take place at Garland Brook Mausoleum Chapel.
