Trinity tops Spartans

SEYMOUR — Southwestern (Shelby) pulled out a three-set win at No. 1 singles Thursday, but Trinity Lutheran took the other four matches to claim a 4-1 boys tennis victory.

Adam Alberring rolled 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 singles, and Zach Lister won by forfeit at No. 3 singles for the Cougars (11-6). Jonathan Naewedde and Reed Roeder prevailed 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 doubles, and Luke Schepman and Ross Bevers cruised 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 doubles.

Trinity’s Daniel Naewedde fell 5-7, 2-6, (10-7) at No. 1 singles.
