South Decatur falls to Cloverdale

GREENSBURG — Rayland Henson kicked a 34-yard field goal to give South Decatur an early 3-0 lead Friday, but Cloverdale scored 47 unanswered points to post a 47-3 win.

After starting running back Jayden Jackson-Ray was injured in the first half, Kagen Wren stepped in and ran for 101 yards on 15 carries for the Cougars (2-3).

“We lost five kids before halftime,” South Decatur coach Rodney Martin said. “We had kids out there at the end of the game who were in positions they had never played.”
