Mark Levett, vice president of corporate responsibility and CEO of the Cummins Foundation, announced his plans to retire on Nov. 30 after serving in a variety of leadership positions for 42 years.

2000

Columbus businesses Zaharako’s and Kroot Corp. were the inaugural recipients of the Reeves Award, named for one of Bartholomew County’s earliest and most influential businesses. The award was presented at the Bartholomew County Historical Society’s annual meeting.

1975

Around 50 local women toured Bartholomew County farms as part of the Rural-Urban program sponsored by the Farm Bureau and Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce. The tour was designed to create more awareness of the farm business.
