City officials this week opened bids for engineering 2025’s overlay project, involving 28 street segments.
Columbus Board of Public Works members saw bid openings for this year’s asphalt overlay project, which will be complete by June 16, City Engineer Andrew Beckort said.
The project received the following bids:
- Milestone Contractors for $1,869,345.40
- All Star Paving for $1,891,605.15
- DC Construction Services for $1, 950,797.40
- Dave O’Mara Contractors for $2,098,017.50
The selection of contractor and final contract for the work will come during a later board of works meeting.
The following are the streets to receive new asphalt this year:
Kentucky Street from Brooks Street to Terminus
Ross Street from Illinois Street to Indiana Avenue.
Hughes Street from Illinois Street to Indiana Avenue.
Ohio Avenue. from Gladstone Avenue. to Brooks Street
Mapleton Street from Hope Avenue. to Fifth Street
Towhee Drive from Bunting Lane to Tanager Drive
Towhee Drive from Tanager Drive to Lapwing Drive
Tanager Drive from Bunting Lane to Towhee Drive
Oriole Street from Parkside Drive to Tanbark Avenue
Tanbark Avenue from Oriole Street to Mockingbird Drive
Parkside Court from Parkside Drive to Terminus
Sandpiper Lane from Junco Drive to Hummingbird Lane
