Bull Dogs get Exemplary Behavior Report
Columbus North lost a five-set senior-night heartbreaker to Bloomington South in Tuesday’s battle for the Conference Indiana volleyball title, but the Bull Dogs grace in defeat made an impression on the officials, who turned in an Exemplary Behavior Report with the IHSAA Wednesday.
The report reads, “I have officiated Columbus North a few times in the past couple years. I have always been impressed with their passion for the sport and their attitude on the floor. Last night’s match was for the conference championship. The match went 5 sets, and Columbus North came out on the losing end. In this day and age, those factors could have caused Columbus North to show a different side of themselves. That wasn’t the case. The whole team and coaching staff handled the loss with class and character. The behavior modeled by the coach and the two captains (#3 Morgan Osborn and #13 Karen Dutro) was very much the reason. I know the loss hurt, but I also know that these girls and this program will do great things because they are first class.”
The Bull Dogs are coached by Sarah Stair and assisted by Allison White and Jared Novreske.
