City officials this week awarded the bid for the 2025 city overlay project, involving 28 street segments.
Columbus Board of Public Works members agreed to award the bid for the work to Milestone Contractors, which submitted the low bid of $1.8 million. The project will be finished by June 16, City Engineer Andrew Beckort said.
The following bids were opened during the board of works meeting last week:
- Milestone Contractors for $1,869,345.40
- All Star Paving for $1,891,605.15
- DC Construction Services for $1, 950,797.40
- Dave O’Mara Contractors for $2,098,017.50
The following are the streets to receive new asphalt this year:
- Kentucky Street from Brooks Street to Terminus
- Ross Street from Illinois Street to Indiana Avenue.
- Hughes Street from Illinois Street to Indiana Avenue.
- Ohio Avenue. from Gladstone Avenue. to Brooks Street
- Mapleton Street from Hope Avenue. to Fifth Street
- Towhee Drive from Bunting Lane to Tanager Drive
- Towhee Drive from Tanager Drive to Lapwing Drive
- Tanager Drive from Bunting Lane to Towhee Drive
- Oriole Street from Parkside Drive to Tanbark Avenue
- Tanbark Avenue from Oriole Street to Mockingbird Drive
- Parkside Court from Parkside Drive to Terminus
- Sandpiper Lane from Junco Drive to Hummingbird Lane
- Hummingbird Lane from River Road to Junco Drive
