WESTFIELD
Robert Charles Peabody, known to his friends and family as Bob, left this world October 12, 2025, in Westfield, Indiana. Born on August 19, 1948, in Erie, Pennsylvania, to parents Donald H. and Margarette L. Peabody, Bob grew up with a zest for life that was infectious.
Bob led a fulfilling life both personally and professionally. His colleagues often became friends, a true testament to his charismatic and engaging personality.
An avid Indiana University fan, he was the life of the party. Bob’s legacy is lovingly cherished by his daughters, Maegan (Matthew) Hollingsworth and Emily (Patrick) Moyer; his adoring brothers, William (Lisa) Peabody and Richard (Donna) Peabody; along with his grandchildren, Jocelyn Jane Arnett, Cameron Moyer, Lily Moyer, Emma Moyer, Mackenzie Moyer, and Jacob Hollingsworth, who will forever remember their grandfather’s boundless love and laughter.
Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jane E. Peabody and his parents, Donald H. and Margarette L. Peabody.
As we bid goodbye to this remarkable man, his memory will live on through the stories told by those who knew him best. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
Friends and family are invited to attend a time of celebration and remembrance of Bob to held on Saturday October 18, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. in Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana through the funeral home.
