A Gathering of Quilts — 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Foundation for Youth, 405 Hope Ave., Columbus. The Columbus Indiana Star Quilters and Evening Star Quilters are celebrating their 42nd anniversary by hosting their 20th biennial quilt show. The show will feature over 150 quilts, traditional and modern, made by members of both guilds. Demonstrations will be available throughout both days, along with a vendor mall, boutique and themed basket raffles. Cost is $8 for ages 12-and-up. Various workshops cost an additional fee. Hooks and Needles — 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. The Hooks and Needles program is for all types of needle crafters to gather, create and socialize.

Barktoberfest — noon to 8 p.m., Mill Race Park, 50 Carl Miske Drive, Columbus. Join the Bartholomew County Humane Society for a family-friendly festival including Dachshund races, a beer garden, craft vendors and fun activities. Free admission. Students’ Fund of Hope Food Truck Festival — 4 to 9 p.m., Hope Town Square, 635 Harrison St., Hope. Join the Students’ Fund of Hope for a food truck festival featuring Miss Rachel’s Neat Treats, Lemonade Bros, D&D Lunchbox, Party Chef, Dirty Dough, Wicked Chops, Slop Shop, Big JT’s BBQ, Meil on Wheels, Chubby’s Woodfired Pizza, Antojitos Rosita and Donut NV.

Jennings County Mystery Dinner — 6 p.m., Jennings County Historical Society Museum, 134 E. Brown St., Vernon. Dinner guests can enjoy a five-course dinner cooked by Historical Society volunteers in a mysterious, Halloween atmosphere. Cost is $20 per person. Tickets and information: 812-346-8989.

Jennings County Ghost Walk — 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., Jennings County Historical Society Museum, 134 E. Brown St., Vernon. Local students will reenact ghost stories and Jennings County folklore. Tours leave the museum every 20 minutes. Hot chocolate, apple cider and snacks will be for sale at the museum. Cost is $3 for ages 7-and-up. Children ages 6-and-under can attend for free. Tickets can be purchased at the museum.

Free Outdoor Movie — 7 p.m., Sandy Hook United Methodist Church, 1610 Taylor Road, Columbus. Enjoy an outdoor screening of “Wonka,” free popcorn, lemonade and mini Wonka bars. Chairs and blankets are welcome. Free.

2025 Zombie Prom: Medieval — 7 to 11 p.m., Bartholomew County 4-H Fairgrounds, 750 W. County Road 200S, Columbus. The seventh annual Zombie Prom will have a medieval theme and will include a DJ, costume contest, games, food and cash bar provided by Columbus Bar. All proceeds benefit Copper Kitten, Inc., a local cat sanctuary, and the establishment of a community spay-neuter program. Cost is $15 in advance and $20 at the door.
